I put my car in for a remap at my local performance garage today, I've just had an email from them saying their KESS software isn't working with the car and so they can't map her. They've spoken to some guys at Ecotune but to no avail.
Does anyone know where I can get my Monaro remapped in Scotland? Monkfish is out of the question as it's just too far away.

Hi.
In the 7 years I have been around these cars iam unaware of anyone is Scotland competent in mapping them, but I will say it's been years since I have looked into this so that might of changed.
Your best chance of getting some where on this would be trying AAS in Newcastle, Some time back I know they were looking into mapping buy don't know how far they have taken there interest in mapping.

I got myself efilive after much consideration. You only need to pay once for you licence and the hardware. Ringram is always willing to help out. One benefit of owning your own hardware is that you can regularly log the data and keep an eye on whether the car is behaving or not. It is useful to get a baseline run on a dyno if possible just to get your afr in shape and make sure it is doing what it is told. If you can also get a wideband sensor installed then even better.

Where did you get your efilive from and what do you get and how much did it cost? I'm only asking as I need to tweek my diff ratio on the ecu and I was thinking it might be handy to buy one and cheaper for me as I can't find anyone locally that can help.bonesxu1 said:

ringram is the European distributor, his website is here: http://www.efilive.eu/I would get in touch with him first though through the contact link on the website.

If you can get hold of/borrow a efilive V2 hand held, you can have it remote tuned by someone like Pat Guerra in the states. He is very good and takes a thoroughly scientific approach, unlike some of the tuners around. Does anyone know where I can get my Monaro remapped in Scotland? You would buy a base tune from him and then log with the supplied PIDS he sends you with the base map. You then email the logs back to him and he will fine tune it for you.

Are you going to street tune it or take your new gear to a dyno?
This will be going to my local performance garage, I've know the chap there for years and he's the only person I trust locally to do the job. I'm a strong believer in using a dyno to tune, it's just a personal preference.Mud_ said:
Good choice if you aren't planning further mods, and you should get most of your money back if you want to sell the flashscan after. There is lots to fiddle with if you choose to though!
I consider it an investment for future work and for current setup. I also need the fault code reading side of things too. All in all it's to make my life easier with the car Gassing Station | HSV & Monaro | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
