With the city officially closed, I thought I best buy some food to keep me going in my hotel room.

The sixty deep queue of Americans ahead of me all seemed to be buying armloads of beer, nachos and oven ready pizza. Now that's style wink

We were in NY for New Year and were gutted we had no snow as it always makes the city seem magical during the Xmas season but have to say glad we missed this snow - two years ago we were there for Xmas and missed the city shut down then by 2 days. The Worlds weather is messed up at the minute.

Weather is the weather, just because it doesnt suit our lifestyle doesnt make it right or wrong. I'm sure the ice age would have been fairly inconvenient too.

It is another day in the mid 40s [Farenheit]. Possibly 1/2 of the 35+ inches has melted. But the salt. You should see all of that corrosive crap. My car will remain garaged until a few good rain storms wash things away. Great excuse to walk and get some very-necessary exercise.

We've just had the tail-end of your snow-storm here in Scotland but as heavy, horizontal rain. And a lot of it.

I'm Downtown on William Street, snow's all gone here (thanks Mr.Mayor). Salt's wrecking my shoes though ...

And now for something completely different [thanks Monty Python]
How's this for British? I have Clive Pig on the turntable, and Kirsty MacColl up next. Followed by David Bowie.
Thank you, England.
