VXR8 rear led failure

Just wondering if somebody can offer advice.

Cars just come out of the bodyshop, the rear light unit works apart from the red light when headlights on. The brake light works on the same ring.

Before I go in digging has anyone seen this before?

Think a bit more information required

Both rear lamps or one.

Do you mean the red tail lights. so reverse, indicator and brake all work

If the garage took it out or repaired that area - take it back to them to sort

Just the passenger side tail lights, all others on both sides work fine.

Is it a single plug connector or multi plug?

Only collected at 5pm and there shut till Monday

The main rear light unit is a multiplug if you look at the thread on http://www.vxronline.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?15... there are a bunch of pics of how to remove it and what it looks like inside from that guy fixing his indicators.
