Hi All,
The boot on my VXR drops like a lead balloon like the gas struts are u/s. Just wondering if they are all like this or if I need to replace the gas struts.

If you could measure the from end to end where the cups pop on, when removed from boot, I will see if I can match them up with ones I have, not promising I can get them but worth a try, and they will be free and brand new.

VXR tail gates do tend to shame down due to the extra weight of the spoiler so it might not all be down to the struts.

Def worth changing tho if they are getting on a bit.

Nice offer Snowy smile

Worth a try for sure, if you can take a photo too and measure the diameter, If I have a couple that match up give them a try, I might not but have quite a few to choose from smile

I bought some from eBay for around £20 that claimed to be heavier duty when compared to standard. Work really well and hold the boot until it's half closed. No more finger chopping moments.

Will try and find the receipt and contact details.

Can you post up the details...? Mine need doing too and I'm starting to think that I'm going to keep the Monaro and not move into a R8 so might as well keep spending smile

Having looked up my paperwork these are the guys I bought mine from. On a year now and still great.

They can also tune up or down the pressure
