Up until today I was in what you could call a 'Monaro Drought' here in Manchester. Today was the first day I saw a VXR in the wild, a silver one heading south on the M6 near the Knutsford services around 3:45pm ish...I promptly rang a fellow aussie mate of mine who was behind me as he hadn't seen any over here either..but it gets better!

My mate passed me on the M56 only to call me back and say that there are two more Black VXR's on the back a truck, still with the plastic protective lining on them. Caught up with the truck, gave the driver a thumbs up and even managed to take a picture with my phone. I seriously think I am turning into an angorak!..haha

I tried to look for the LS2/6.0l badge but all I could see was the standard V8 badge on the side and nothing on the back, just VXR..

Will try and send you the pic, as soon as I can..Have to see if the 'work' phone allows me to email it..

I was thinking the same thing when I saw them, hence the frantic searching for the LS2 badge.

My email addy is aussiedude151@hotmail.com if you would like to send me your number?..

Cheers Paul, you should have the pic by now as well..Not exactly the clearest as we had typical Manchester weather here today. If they are the same VXR's from Australia that were posted on this site a few weeks ago, it would be safe to say that they are used to the rain..haha

Hi Adrian, the Silver VXR was probably mine. I had just been up to a meeting in Manchester and was on my way home to Gloucestershire. Didn't notice any Holdens, what were you driving?

Adrian, keep an eye out for a Silver VX II with a SS kit on it. Also has Queensland (QLD) plates on it. Driving all over the place at the moment seeing what there is to see in the south. Going to go up to Stonehenge again this weekend, hopefully the weather is a bit better.

That would be me.. Went for a spin along the A27 on Wednesday night, put the peddle to the middle. Bit scared when I came off it and there was a blue light flashing ahead of me. Didn't stop, went past him, so not sure if I was spose to stop. Gave him plenty of opportunity to catch up if he wanted to.

I've found a Black LS1 VXR Monaro for sale(delivery miles only) at my local dealer. BUT...the price is ridiculous > £35K. It'll never sell at that price with the LS2 just round the corner.
