Whatever price it is, convert to Sterling at 2.0859/£ then add £3500 for shipping to the value, then work out 22% of what you have, and this will be your duty.
Next, add the duty to the previous figure, and work out 20% - which will be your VAT.

Add the duty, the VAT, the shipping costs, and about £3k for SVA to your original price, and if it still seems cheap, start looking at shipping lines to bring it across for you. smile

Good grief it's only a 1980 old Toyota think it would be cheaper to drive it back :-(

As Araf says. Shipping quotes I have had recently to give you an idea are £1000 for roro and roughly £2200 container. Both inc port fees either end but not getting the car to or from the ports

Ah, well that's a bit different. 0% duty and 5% VAT with a binding tariff agreement, which will cost around £50 - as long as it's being imported for occasional use on the road - to and from shows wink and is original - brakes, engine, interior, steering and axles (when it arrives).
SVA is a lot easier too, so won't cost as much. smile

That will be their administration charge, for completing the Customs declaration. I charge a lot more than that, but usually clear lorries full of stuff, rather than just one item.
