Hi,

Since de-catting my exhaust i get a horrible rasp/vibration noise from the exhaust. I want to get rid of this!

The current setup is the following :

1 7/8 LT
X Pipe
Walkinshaw super car silencers

Thanks

Removing the cats will give it a rasp...I guess just because you've removed mass and damping, and made the exhaust more pipe-like. Not sure what you can do about it other than put the cats back in. I like my rasp, but it might be a better bedfellow for the Wortec sound than the Walkie sound...

No part touching a heat shield, is it?

Yep I have the same. It was horrific with the stock manifolds, improved once I fitted the hsv headers but still has a bit of a rasp.

I have headers, x pipe and no cats too

Is your rear box 2-1? So two pipes entering and the gases mix in the box?
On my previous v8 I had this and I separated them - divided the box and it helped get rid of the rasp

Hope that makes sense
