I knew nothing of this either. A little bit of research show that this Virginia Waters meeting is an annual event for all Piston Heads. It's "mostly TVR’s, with some Esprits and Elises, Ferraris, Porsches, one Lamborghini, and a smattering of other exotica."

It's just down the road for me so would be up for it. There appears to be a couple of meeting point so people can go in convoy. Bracknel & Fleet Services (M3) appear to be the biggest, but others exist. Read the thread to find out more.
There's talk of going down to Brooklands as well later on in the afternoon.
Interestingly, the organiser has this to say: "Please be aware that the road next to the Hotel is 3 lanes wide either side and has traffic lights. While this is ideal for a bit of drag racing with numerous lined up sports cars on the Red Light, I'm not encouraging it "
It's worth going just to see what happens.
