Big job and quite expensive to get them powder coated as they will need to be fully stripped down and rebuilt with new seals, how many miles have the covered?

They have covered 34000 miles. I could go down the road of painting them but wanted a good durable finish.

Used them on several cars now. Not chea, but lasted well. Longest I had a car after the work was 4 years and they still looked like new.

Big Red seem to get mixed reviews online ? Never used them myself though. Mostly in that they take ages I think ?

Google does bring up a couple of companies though

I'd give these guys a call, as this Cerakote stuff seem pretty good, with many applications for cars and bikes...

I used ordinary hammerite paint on my S2000's callipers and they looked great for months (I sold the car so can only guess that they still look great...)

Halfords Caliper Paint is decent and shouldn't be overlooked, painted mine myself back in early 2013 when I had my wheels off for powder coating, still look fresh when they have had a clean, its all in the prep as it is whatever you do, plenty of wet sanding and cleaning before masking up and applying 3 coats, took no more than 3 hours all four calipers.

Picture taken last week, might have to zoom in but they are still bright red with HSV Decals and a clear coat over the top.

Paint is around 12£ a tin.

It was brush on. 3 coats each left to dry for 20 minutes. Wife did it whilst the wheels were being painted . Still look good now. I also painted the rusty bell housings on my VXR brakes, that was great and I used hammerite!

I used this guy for some RS Focus calipers last year that were in poor condition. Turn around was ok, he kept me informed the whole time and the end result was good considering how bad they was when I sent them to him. He also seemed friendly on the phone and claimed he used to work for one of the big caliper refurbishment companies. Hope this helps.

I had the rear std calipers refurbed at the end of last year by caliper refurb specialists , job was top notch but , their turnaround didn't match their promises , despite me booking the job in online and sending via their recommended courier which by the way they don't use themselves , weird eh ! The calipers sat on their desk for several days as " they didn't know whose they were" as the parcel was damaged and soaking wet and recognising them as from a holden . How many monaro rear calipers do they have at any one time ? I would hesitate to recommend them based on the above ,others may have better experience of them .
