These always sound nice so no supprise you got admired, mind you your average BMW owner would rather talk options a finance packages! Yawn.

Had a guy in a Cayman S come past me and slow right down a while ago. Matched speed with me and gave me the thumbs up.

Quite nice when you get the thumbs up from a Porsche owner as well.

Find it happens quite often, same with people who will ask you to rev it at traffic lights etc.

Just think the Monaro / VXR8 is one of those cars people like seeing. However, many wouldn't really own as they don't want to stray too far from the typical fast car segment of Audi, BMW, Mercedes etc. I get that, these aren't for everyone but I think most can appreciate them.

The unique blend of goodwill (from those in the know) and anonymity these machines attract is a large part of the appeal for me...I like getting let out at junctions and not getting keyed by some knuckle-dragger for being a "flash bd" smile

I took my Monaro (with straight though pipes) on a road trip to Italy to watch the F1 then travel around for two weeks. Caught some people's attention! Especially one guy who was very enthusiastic in an MGF waving like a lunatic. He appreciated the tunnels for sure!
