So a fair few years after selling GTS No26, I have have bought Phil's Supercharged GTS No 29, and very pleased I am too and a credit to its former owners... 2 V8 in the drive is clearly twice as good as one.
I'm still not sure where I'm going to store the bits that came with it..
I think I may build a frame to make the spare rear seats into a sofa for the garage in man cave fashion.
So one question - does the Vortech Supercharge make any difference to the best weight/grade of oil to use, or just standard LS1 spec?

Damn that looks shiny - I am almost regretting it already. I really hope that you enjoy it - it is an awesome example.
However, a replacement is already on the cards - watch this space.
I hope the replacement will be something sensible, but, knowing you, it will be far However, a replacement is already on the cards - watch this space.

Lovely looking GTS
Do you have any plans for it? Any other plans other than building the top gear style sofa?
I've sent you a PM regarding some of the bits.....

Plan? Normally I have a long snag list when I buy a car, but in this case, it looks like "H5V VE" has pretty much done everything that needs doing.
I need to move all the panels off the rear lawn, as my wife says it make the house look like a breaker's yard.
I need to sell a Land rover and a Motorcycle to pay for car.
Mainly I plan to drive it and enjoy it. This is 6th 5.7 litre Chevy motor I've been lucky to own and it the fastest and has the best exhaust noise of the lot with the added bonus of mildly 747 jet engine wheezes and whistled thrown in.
Although there is some might fine plumbing under that bonnet that I need to get my head around. Getting to the oil filter looks like it might be fun and I've not even found the air filter.
I'm tempted to fit the vented bonnet, which I like. Does it help dump the heat from the supercharger? anybody know if I need to watch under bonnet temperatures?
My son wants me to take it to a track day - It's got the AP brakes, but I imaging even they wilt after a few track laps?
Judging by the speed the fuel gauge has dropped, I guessing I must have a smaller than standard fuel tank fitted...... Nearly had to fill up twice yesterday.

The vented bonnet is anything but. They are blocked up as you dont want air coming through them at speed thus lowering airflow over the rad. Purely visual.
Unless you are really good, AP's should be fine on a track day.
Standard tank on that..........................

With fuel at 99p per litre, everyone should have a v8. How is the vortek? Any ideas on power output?
Im enjoying No 26 a lot.
I have to admit its not 100% clear to me what the bhp is. Around 500bhp seems likely and from behind the drivers seat its definitely significantly more power than I've been used to (approx 300-350). Im enjoying No 26 a lot.
Supercharger and inter-cooler must be good for a few extra ponies.
