Our new Dyno Dynamics Rolling Road will be in and operational soon. We already have bookings and I wondered if the HSV / Monaro / Ute owners would be interested in an RR day at Silverstone ?

Our new twin tubo 600 BHP LS2 Monaro demo could be complete by then too !

Dates avail from April 23rd onwards if anyone wishes to take up organising this.

We have 70+ Mitsubishi Evo's booked for our inaugral RR weekend, I can't believe that the big brutal V8's have not responded or dont want measured on a home grown Aussie dyno.

I would prefer to run my car on a Dynapack system. It seems to be a lot more controlled. I really don't like the idea of my car bouncing around being held down by straps or chains.

Hi Islandboy
Tks for replying, I'm sure every system has it's merits and demerits for any given car.
I have no knowledge of your previous RR experience but can assure you a 2wd car does not bounce around on our rollers.

You prefer the "bolt on to hubs" type and of course everyone is entitled to their own preference.
At the time of purchase we had examined every type available and chose the Dyno Dynamics rolling road over all of the others. Although by no means the least expensive solution we believe it offers the best replication and repeatability of all the variants on offer.

For some further info on why we took the route we id.

Take your point Alan but whilst I think the 'dynapack' system is better regarding accuarcy I feel it puts the least amount of strain on the car, especially when in an environmental chamber. In addition most of the HSV/Holden community use Abbey Motorsport.

So far we have all used the dynapack systems at Abbey Motorsport which means that not only do they have a record of previous runs to compare against, but we can all use the same benchmark for performance figures.

If we started using another RR then we would be back to square one, the dynapack was so accurate that on two occasions the same car produced exactly the same bhp output which was quite impressive.

Just to say thank you for the offer.

But, have to agree with previous replies, as have dyno'd car on one system makes sense to use that for any future tests.

Thank u again

Hi Pomona
I chose not to get into "ping-pong" over whose dyno is best, as consumers are entitled to spend their hard earned where they choose and it would only serve to alienate. I do wish to invite owners who are sceptical to come and see it in action for themselves tho'

The new RR [the largest outside Australia] will be installed in mid March and yes we would be very interested to look at your "blower" ooh er madam !

We are building a VXR 6.0 with twin turbos and are expecting the same results as in Aus 620 BHP at the rear wheels !!!

Many thanks for your kind words and see you soon

Alan

I should have pointed out that a lot of us know the output of our cars. I will certainly come & visit you soon as I get a chance.
