I can vouch for this - I was a passenger in Ferrets car once when he had the F1's on and I immediately noticed how bad handling was almost as if the rears didn't have enough air in them - frightening! The Monaro is very fussy on its tyres, I had dunlops on once they didn't feel great so I went back to OEM spec Bridgestone Potenza. No probs. V8TFT said:
Another vote for MPSS 245/40/18 XL rating 97Y
I've got these on the rear of my cv8 and they're great. Need new front tyres soon, but I seem to remember reading that the MPSS 245/40/18 won't fit on the front because they're too wide (or high) for stock suspension? Because of that I was going to get PS3s but if MPSSs are okay on the fronts then that would be awesome. That said, the Vredestein Sessantas I've currently got on the front have been pretty good.

ive never had any of those issues. maybe its due to being the new assymetrical 2 ..after reading a few tyre tyre threads and magazine road tests I decided on these. ive got wider on the rear toomaccavvy said:
