There are a few ex-demonstration Monaros availble from Network Q on autotrader.co.uk but I had thought these cars were not going to be available to April and the VXR until May? Are these older Holdens with a the badge replaced and not quite the same spec as the Monaro that is described on the Vauxhall site? I´m even more confused as there are 5.7 litre VXR´s for sale, yet I heard they are going to be released (in May) with a 6.0?

all the Vauxhall Monaro's for sale are 2004 cars..........the 2005 cars go on sale in a month or two.....

2004 Monaro V8 = 5.7ltr LS1
2004 Monaro VXR = 5.7ltr LS1

2005 Monaro V8 = 5.7 ltr LS1
2005 Monaro VXR = 6.0ltr LS2

thanks for the info. So the only thing I´ll be missing from buying a ´04 Monaro rather than an ´05 is a lighter wallet?

The 05 car has sigificant engine, braking, chassis and styling enhancements over the 04 car. Do your research.

The 04 has a HUGE boot wheras the 05 has a petrol tank in it and barely enough room for golf clubs.

Fancy buying my 04 Monaro ? - Just found out that I can't disable the passenger airbag and I have a baby on the way

Are you sure - who you asked for confirmation?

in the "SRS" manual it shows a sensor which you plug in when you remove the airbag. The sensor fools the BCM into thinking it still has a airbag working.....

"Caspy" is there anything on Tech2 which might help?

Nice one guys - I just read the manual several times and it says don't put a rear facing baby seat in the front. There may be a fuse you can pull out but this probably switches off the whole system
