Looking for wheel spacers for the vxr8 but can't find any! I understand the holes are 14mm? And i would need longer bolts. Does anyone have a link to where i could buy some? The wheels really need to come out as they look a little silly now that the car is lowered

S800VXR had some for his car. Not sure if he had to have them machined up, or whether he imported them from the US or Oz.

Mine were BMW fitment from memory which the supplier tweaked..? Can't remember TBH about the tweaking. You will need longer bolts. With 20" I had 20 front and 15 rear I thing. Looks soooooooo much better as the wheel stock are sucked right into the arch and lost.

So if I got somewhere to make me some what would I ask for exactly?

The PCD of the hubs, centre bore and thickness needed. Do some reading and work out what you want TBH. Mine was quite aggressive in stance and I rolled my own arches to clear things.

I am always cautious of using spacers. The loading it puts on the bolts and studs is significantly more then OEM. You want to ensure you have a very high quality components. For example I snapped a stud on my track car that was from a cheap bolt to stud conversion torquing up the nuts with a torque wrench,,so you need to be careful. I would suggest contacting a brand such as eibach or H&R as they make spacers that are designed with racing in mind. There is a cheap way and a right way. Make sure you don't skimp and buy the best componentry money can buy as you really don't want to loose a wheel.

I've had spacers on 5 previous cars and never had a problem but like you say I've always used quality parts. The car is lowered but only with springs so the tyre doesn't sit in the arches. What would you say would be the best to go for? 15mm front and 10mm rear?

I've found a good place who makes custom wheel spacers. They said they can easily make me some up but would need the specifications etc. Does anyone know the exact measurements to tell them? I've looked and looked but can't find anything online and I don't have a clue myself. Cheers

GaryH bought some for his std wheels (and later had some made for his new wheels).

See HERE

Rarely on here now - more likely to reach him on the HSV UK facebook page.
