Rare Holdens for Sale

Got the Holden UK Register magazine the other day.

There was copy of an email sent in showing a collection of 4 rare Holdens for sale. I have been in contact and although details are sketchy (the chap is a friend of the seller and doesn't know Holdens) there appears to be 2 x Monaros that were modified by CAPA Performance in Oz for GM UK. There is a 2005 700 bhp Holden - not sure whether a Ro or VZ saloon and another 2005 Holden model as yet unconfirmed.

One of these Monaros was the black one driven by Clarkson on Top Gear. This makes sense because the Monaros have not been UK registered and the one in the video does not have a UK registration.

The seller is looking for £70k for all 4, not sure if he will split yet but as soon as I know more I will update you all. Would be good to register these and keep them in the UK as they are part of the extraordinary Holden story in the UK.

Sounds lovely, but £70K is a tad optimistic given the number of quality motors out there. Need pictures...

Details are all a bit sketchy but here is the latest from our contact

"Silver one that's a xr280 280 kW around 375bhp. Green one is 330 kW around 450 bhp

They all have custom leather interior green one is green, black, sliver and yellow cars are black with upgraded sound systems all have a full race stainless system, adjust legs (?) both back and front with
bilstein fully adjustable shocks, uprated ap racecalipers and brembo four pots on the others I think ..

When the cars were originally ordered they cost £250k without shipping"

These were mentioned to me around 3 or 4 years ago , the owner if its still the same was very ill

My pal Tony from Capa supplied the cars ,just old cars now with little value over here , they need to be sent back out there
