Hi Chaps
I hope all you HSV buffs will forgive this post BUT:-
We now have in stock a few performance bits for the newer members/owners of Monaro's, that I think represent great value for money, are really easy to fit and transform the sound and feel of the car for not much dosh.

1. PCM remap, a simple job with great results 40lb/ft increase in torque from about 1700rpm and 35bhp power increase, very noticable improvement in throttle response £395.
2. Cat back stainless 3.5inch bore sounds great, good quality. £595.
3. Rear Spoiler Vauxhall spec same as the Yellow 2005 V8 seen at the Ace on Sunday, Fitted and painted for only. £595.

Let me know if I can help.

I think this post will be removed by Petrol Ted as it's advertising but we do appreciate the information, would I be right in thinking that the remap will not affect any warranty issues?

Graham,

Remap: Are the figures quoted based on an otherwise stock CV8?

Exhaust: A bit more exhaust noise would be nice. However, stock exhaust has the advantage of being quiet at cruising speeds. Does your exhaust suffer from increased cabin noise at cruising (say <2.5kRPM)?

Cheers,

Jon.

Yes figures based on a standard CV8 we are working on software for the VXR. The original exhaust was a bit drony so we've made it this time larger centre boxes.

Hi Graham, another question but this time it's for us Monaro owners who already have some basic mods (headers/exhaust/CAI etc) - is the PCM remap available to us and would you expect to achieve similair power gain results ?

And finally is it a standard fixed map or is it tailored to each individual car ?

My car is modded in the same way as dans. I'm interested in the map too. I have HP tuners so I could load it in myself.

Save youself the grief and speak to uk hsv, or island boy hsv. They have just re-mapped my ute and the difference is amazing.(lots of things are different in the ute tune) Now up to 362bhp and a de-cat and further tune are on the cards. They really do know how to hook things up.

The re-map will work with your exhaust mods, there is a feeling that any more major mods would result in a change to the software but IMO I think this is a bit OTT.
The software has been trialled on several Monaro's so is now not car specific, a real result.
