Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and have found this site in my research for some info.
I've read somewhere ( I think on this site ) that there was or is a HSV UK Limited. Does it still exist. How does this work with Vauxhall bringing in the Monaros and VRx pushing the sports line.
Are the Monaro's brought in as Euro compliant ( Certificate of Conformity) or on a special batch SVA 1 or 2 ( Think I've got the right terminology)

I'm living in Europe and would dearly like to hoon down a german autobahn listening to that sweet V8 purrrr. Preferable would be in left hand drive mode but RHD would still work. Just got to have one!

Any ideas or help to import would be much appreciated.
Pity I have to miss this weekends get together but maybe the next one.

HSV UK (or GIV Imports to give its full name) stopped trading in 2002/3 when the cost and viability of selling HSV's became to much.

Vauxhall import from Holden for the V8 Monaro and HSV for the VXR Monaro.

Vauxhall are limited to about 300 cars a year before they need to spend lots of money on type approval etc... so expect the Monaro to stay a low volume car.

There are 3 Monaro's in Europe infact they are Pontiac GTO's. The owners are stationed at various army bases (so when they go home you might be able to buy one)

Thanks Paul will have to ask around. i know a few US Personnel.

Andy, I'll keep it in mind but If I can get a LHD will be super wrapped. Very tidy machine though!
