Flickering Gauge Light

Got an issue with the illumination on my MY2012 E3 GTS. The additional instrument pod on top of the dash that houses 3 gauges, one of them, it's light keeps flickering on & off when it should be on. As it's so bright, it's a bit distracting.

Anyone know if there's a bulb fitment inside, or is it lit by other means, led for instance?

Anyone any idea how to get this instrument pod off the dashboard? Links to other threads regarding this issue would be great.

I have exactly the same problem right now. The back light on the centre dial (oil temp) flickers on and off like a strobe light.

Haven't had time to look into it yet so I can't advise, but it seems to me like a lose connection to the blub. I'm half considering the idea of just taking it to the local VX dealer and getting it sorted under warranty.

Gents, any update on this ? I've got a guage misbehaving the same way.

This is a known problem with the gauges, I have the same issue on my 2011 E3 GTS (bulb gone in one) if it's under warranty, the pod will get replaced with a new improved version, if it's out of warranty, the new pod is circa £200, if you're handy with stripping cars apart, if might be a DIY jobby, but from what i've heard, the pod is a right ball ache to remove.
