Child Seats - URGENT
Discussion
It might be an idea to post this under General Gassing. I remember someone asked a similar question many months ago and someone replied with a link to a car seat specialist.
Hope you get it sorted!
I can't believe how big baby seats are! Our new-born's seat only just fits in the back of our Alfa 156 Sportwagen!!!!!!!

Have you tried a travel system type set-up?
We bought ours from Mothercare, and consisted of a pushchair that can have the carrier latched on to. You then have a base in the car that the carrier also latches on to. The theory being you can switch from car to pushchair to car again without waking the baby.
Anyway the reason it may be of use is the car's seatbelt doesn't need to wrap around the carrier, but only it's base.
I think you can get cheap ones for around £120 and you can spend as much as you like. We bought an extra base for our other car, but only used it a handful of times. Highly recomended.
We used ours up until our daughter was 12 months or so. Now got ISO-fix. HTH
