A black one with the spoiler - you must be the first to order one with the spoiler. You can expect plenty of fun from the Monaro, thats for sure! As it's now winter, to start with keep TC on for a while, and watch the back end...
Standard exhaust system is very quiet (too quiet..) but don't worry as tubular manifolds and a stainless exhaust system will make a huge difference to the sound, and the power - about + 60 bhp. Lots of other tuning and modifying options for the Monaro - brakes, suspension etc - if you are into that sort of thing.
The only known regular problem thats come up with the Monaro so far, is an intermittant misbehaving of the instruments - the speed & rpm readings go haywire for a while but them seem to fix themselves.
And remember - the indicator stalk is on the right
PS - If you are into serial engine management reprograming ('chipping' as it use to be known) I have HP Tuners software for the 2004 Monaro.

"GSE" sorry to hear your laptop is still not working!!!!
When you are up and running again I would like to have a look at your standard tune, as I have been working on another Monaro and a GTO tune, and it would be good to make sure all UK Monaro's are the same!!!
I would also like to find a 2001 UTE so I can look into tuning the PCM on one!!

I am going up to the NEC meet at the weekend, so if you are going I will download your tune and sort out a simple tune for you to try! While I look into a more extensive tune for you.
Paul - I still haven't got my laptop back - would this tune be an answer to the torque characteristic (or lack of, between a certain rev range) that we talked about the other day?
I'm not sure if I can make it up to the NEC as I appear to have double booked - our christmas co 'do' is on the same weekend

Will upgrades etc not affect Vauxhall's warranty or do exhaust systems / remapping not count
I hope VM's attitude towards 'tuned' Monaros will be the same as with the VX220's - there are probably more tuned VX220s on the road, versus 'standard' cars, so Vauxhall consider each warranty claim individually - based on the mods. As far as I know, Monaro 'Linden stage 2' was/is warrantied by Vauxhall.

I have not seen a UTE Tune yet so I am not sure what they have had programmed into the PCM.
But there are a few things I can sort out which will give better drivability and power!!!
After a few days looking at the UTE setup I am sure I can find a bit more power...........
I am going to be up for the weekend with a stop over at a Lichfield hotel Sat night with Jagsy and co.......
