Interesting point about glazed front pads/discs. I've definately suffered brake fade in mine. I might go for slotted rotors and ebc greenstuff pads as a next mod.

No rattles or clunks from my suspension so far, it feels fine.

... and some braded hoses to improve initial brake 'feel'.

CV8 brakes uses twin pot SLIDING CAPILERS - never as good as twin (or 4 pot) opposing pistons - and eventually the sliding pins can start to sieze up due to dirt.

AP 4 pot calipers are lovely, but very expensive

Front 4 pot AP set-up down here is somewhere around $2700 including pads, discs and braded hoses.
A lot of people shy away from using the drilled and slotted discs due to cracking. Slotted seem to go ok.

6 piston front 362mm dia grooved and 4 piston rear 320mm grooved stops my car on a 'sixpence' or a 'cent' for you aussie guys.
Ferodo DS2500 pads.
AP Racing are the OEM to HSV and are very helpful.

Mine came with the package which I purchased from Demon Tweeks.Reason is that AP Racing are restricted as OEM supplier. Also Pagid RS421 posses the same performance as DS2500 except these require a squeal shim to control noise.Slightly more expensive than DS2500,which do not squeal. Most reputable Motor Factors should be able to get for you.

My discs are slightly smaller than panama as he has 19" rims compared to my standard 18" alloys but the AP 6 pot/4 pot combo are outstanding, no excessive noise, rattle, squeal or seizing up, sure if you use them hard they sound like race brakes (high pitched squeal but my normal driving style keeps them quiet.

Did an emergency stop from 160 down to 30 mph in what seemed a few seconds, pulled fair amount of g too! OK they were 'shot' for about 30 mins after but it proved the point that I could stop at speed if I had to.

Not cheap but the best mod to the HSV full stop.
