Carbon Fibre Interior Bits VXR8
Discussion
Well my carbon fibre overlays arrived today from Oz, very nice except one issue, the centre console overlay is for a longer version than I've got!
However, a bit of strategic cutting and it fits.
It's real carbon fibre, high gloss finish that simply sticks over the existing trim.
Adds a bit of extra 'texture' to the interior I think.
The kit is designed for both manual and auto hence the shape around the gear lever.
Thought it would do the trick until someone comes up with some full carbon fibre replacement parts.

Looks really great.
If you have the funds I can recommend getting a full alcantara interior retrim (in very dark grey / borderline black). Never seen it on a Monaro but it can look amazing if the craftmanship is top notch. Combined with some carbon trim and solid alloy items (gear knob), suede wheel etc, it could be an awesome combo.
But where do you draw the line? Bankruptcy perhaps.

Man after my own heart, would love to have the dash and headlining done in alcantara, my only concern is the air bag area on the passenger side.If you have the funds I can recommend getting a full alcantara interior retrim (in very dark grey / borderline black). I would, but I'd have to kill you
How do you think a side airbag works? the stitching is designed to disintegrate on deployment. Same principle, same stitching is used on dashboards on top of arirbags.
Ah yes, but that's what I mean, you'd need to know the location of the airbag and have the panel separate surely? How do you think a side airbag works? the stitching is designed to disintegrate on deployment. Same principle, same stitching is used on dashboards on top of arirbags.

No worries Jan, I'll keep looking and if I see anything out here I'll let you know.
Same as I've said to all the guys here, I'm happy to help in locating and getting stuff shipped over (where practical!) if you do find a seller who won't ship to you in the UK you can get it shipped to me in WA (soon to be NSW) and I'll send on.
