Don't know much about this.

Advertised in American Car World as

"2nd October, 11 am - Bathurst Bash: Aussie Special"

I'll have a look on the Ace web site later.

Anyone interested?

G'Day Guy's

It's a very good meeting.

The Ace Cafe had this meeting for the first time last year. They invited all members of the Australian Car Clubs Association(AusCCA)being, The Holden UK Reg, Aust Ford UK & Aust Chrysler- part of the Mopar Muscle.
www.aus-ford-uk.co.uk/html/auscca.html

The Ace wanted to make it a day that celebrated Australian Touring Cars, on the Weekend of the(Bathurst 1000) Thus calling it the Bathurst Bash.

Because there are not many ex Aussie Touring cars here they contacted the Holden UK Reg to organise the cars. British people will love the HSV's as they will recognize them from the V8 Super Cars.

The meeting was set up bye Wayne (HRTHSVHoldenUK) also the DJ & Matt from the HUK & Mopar M Club.

Last year was a great success, see the pic's from last year; www.aus-ford-uk.co.uk/html/show_reports2.html
with around 20 cars on the day. The Ace made it a special day with an Aussie menu including Kangaroo Burgers, xxxx Beer & Bundaberg Rum, from Queensland (if the Brits haven't heard of it).

So I recommend you all go along. I think that as word gets around, this Show will become a big event as the years go on.

The only trouble this year is that one of my mates choose to get Married on that day in Oxford, so I can not make it, (gutted)!

Have a good time Guy's,

HOLDEN, Drive On !

G'day Cobbers,

I am up for that day as well. I now own the Aus GTS 300 as posted on the HSVDriversClub website (personal Imports). And plan on getting out and about for the events.

Will be turning up with a mate who has a '67 Rambler (AMC) Rebel (its RHD and we are unsure as to whether it is Oz or UK import, but its interesting all the same.

See you there!

An Aussie with a GTS 300, what a beauty mate, glad you can make it to the Ace. Sadly I also have to go to a Wedding, but if you want something to do this weekend, we are heading up to Billing in Northampton for the VBOA meeting where we have a Holden Stand. I'll be there with me EH along with a few HSVUK & V8HSV in UK GTS's we are expecting other Holdens from Ute's to EK's. You would be very welcome. Cheers for the welcome,

I may turn up at the Billing day, but I can't commit at the moment! If I do turn up I will attempt to blag my way into the stand (i.e. as I won't have the official pass). So expect the usual 'event-taliban' to be asking one of you guys to verify me.....

P.S. I'm not an Aussie (I did the G'day thing as I have went all Oz since getting the car - i.e. Fosters, XXXX, barbies, big hat, general hatred of the English (only joking!)).

I just happen to be a Scot, but you probably won't hold that against me! eh!

Look forward to a few tinnies with you guys at the barbie!

Cheers again,

Eric

Nice plate Eric, you will have to fit a V2 blower to it to impress the Germans!

A German pointed out that the Vortec V2 tag caught his attention & he liked it.

Welcome aboard & look forward to seeing your car soon.

Don't tempt me with the blower!?!?!?!?!

I will have to wait until the insurance wedge dies down a bit and thennnnn.................!

As for the V2 tag, I'd have had V8 HSV but somebody got there first....eh!eh!

Cheers, Eric...
