Got a chance to buy the above car, 1 owner, FSH with a highish 80K miles.

I know it might sound a bit daft but to be honest I am a bit concerned in case after a few months I dont really like the car and decide to sell it. Hypothetically speaking, if I did does anyone think I would get a buyer at £14Kish?

cheers

The price sounds fair to me, I am sure that interest is growing as it is a 4 door Monaro.
I have had my VX1 GTS since March and have no plans to sell it. There are a few things that you can do to the car to significantly improve its drivability at not much cost. It does depend what you wont though.
If you wont a car that will always attracts attention, buy one. If you wont to be individual, buy one. If you like the idea that most people not knowing what it is, buy one.

apart from the 80k mileage what conditions is it in? as 14k sounds like a very good price!

It is a UK GTS VT11 (5.7 LS1)?

The car was registered in 2000 it has been used as a daily driver by one older chap (owns his own business). It has FSH and is a really honest car that has not been abused rather just driven every day - hence the miles.

At the moment I am unsure as to whether it is Holden or 'Vette engined.

So the question remains guys: would anyone pay £14Kish for it??!

Or maybe re-word that to ask how long would it likely take to sell if I didn't like it?

cheers

Hmm if its a proper year 2000 car then its likely to be the 5.7L version. If it has 185KW or something like that on the back its an old Holden V8. The 5.7L were 255KW upwards from memory. Should be a badge on the edge of the boot with power rating.
£14K is good. But not if its the 5L.

Oh however the old model Oz/Kiwi GTS/Senator Holden engines were 5.7L and 6 speed too. Though power was only 215KW.
The so called GTS's here are really clubsports/R8's-ish from what I can see.

.. Hey if it is the Chev 5.7L, manual 6sp and you dont take it perhaps you can email me the contact details :]
