Does anyone have any idea how these are going to hold their value? Would a V8 or VXR hold on to more? Is there a sales page on Piston Heads I could sell one - I am planning to buy new, enjoy for a few months and sell on - too complex too explain why, but it makes sense to me! But I'd like to get some idea of resale prices - I am not totally barking !

look on the "for sale" page on the club web site and it has the current autotrader listings for the Monaro

Vauxhalls PCP residual values suggest that CV8 will hold greater percentage of vale vs VXR.

I am just not sure.

It depends if you are talking in percentage terms or in straight cash. The VXR is likely to lose a bit more in hard cash terms as it's a higher value car, but in % terms it will probably fare a little better?

The dealers may be selling used at new list price, but they are rather reluctant to commit to what they would actually give you for one! I'd be happy to sell on a VXR for £29500 3 months old <3000 miles - do you think I'd get many takers (private or trade)?

I was offered £23 straight buy for my 3 month old 3.5k
V8. Just for reference.

Thanks bob - Its all gone to pot I am afraid - my special deal on the Monaro fell through. Getting an Astra Sri 200 Turbo instead, which I'll keep - it must be fast but it feels a bit slow after the Monaro !
