Monaro upgrades & fuel consumption
Discussion
Anyone got any advice on how the various Monaro upgrades discussed in this forum (Linden, CAI, EDIT etc) affect the car's fuel consumption in relation to the standard CV8?
For reference I'm getting about 19mpg average at the moment from my unmodified UK spec CV8, driving about 50 miles a day (round trip commute) of which maybe 10-15 miles are urban (with lots of traffic lights - don't you just lurve Southampton?). If this seems a little thirsty I should point out that I do have a heavy right foot
Edit: P.S. while I'm here, how do upgrades affect insurance premiums?

Ive got a Linden stage 2 upgrade and average 28.5 mpg on the motorway with cruise set at 80. Hard to be specific about around town mpg as everyones urban driving is unique however it seems to average over 20.
I'm with Liverpool Victoria insurance and they don't care about security or mods aslong as the engine capacity is unchanged which is nice, however I pay over £1000 for the priveledge.
