Gday guys, here are a couple of pics that have just been posted down here....hood scoops and dual exhausts. Should keep the US GTO owners happy.

Are those bonnet scoops for engine cooling?

They remind me of the 03 / 04 Mustang.

not a chance!!!! our Monaro's have the petrol tank under the boot on the right hand side, so no space for the exhaust pipe.

The new Monaro will have the petrol tank behind the rear seats like the American GTO so there is space for a dual exhaust, but you lose about 30% of your boot!!!!

Don't like the side exhausts.....

Only saw one GTO on the road in USA. Visited the dealer - they are nice and sound OK too. Not quite the HSv though!!!!

Ooh I like this!

I want a Monaro or Maloo Y when I get to Australia!

Then again will probably end up with a Hyundai to save money initially

I have been told that the UK 2005 car will also get more supportive seats to counter critisism of lack of lateral support. They were also going to put a new gearbox in, but it was too noisy for euro regs and didn't offer any real improvement over current.

Rumour has it that GM's answer is to fit better padded seats to all models with the LS1 to overcome the lack of any real dealer support. LOL.

I don't like those bonnet scoops at all - they remind me of 'custom cars' from the 1960's and 1970's, and look totally out of date on the Monaro. Do they actually do anything, or are they just for show? What are they going to do next? Jack up the rear end, and stick huge flame decals along the side of the car?

OK, if the yanks want bonnet scoops for their GTO's then let them have 'em, but - Holden & Vauxhall - please please don't stick those horrible bonnet scoops on 2005 Monaros bound for the UK !! They will be a laughing stock.
