G'day From Salisbury in STH OZ , just thought you guys
would like to know that the upcoming VZ Commodore and
Monaro & Pontiac GTO will be upgrading to the 6 litre
LS2 295kw @ 5200 546 Nm @ 4000 rpm , as for HSV figures no info yet, you would expect at least 40 to 50
more kw. We can thank the Yanks for this as it was demanded by Pontiac. The VZ is expected out sometime in
late August or early September. Source AUST Motor mag
Aug edition.

Do you think HSV might pull off a shock by fitting the LS2 in a GTS or Clubby for their October launch???

It would make sense to open a gap from the SS Commodore as they are getting close in power now!!!!

I dont know when the LS2 is coming now, you wouldnt think they would bring the LS2 in just for HSV.
More than likely we will have to wait until the next
commodore update VZ series 2, surely they wouldnt make us wait 2 years till the all new VE series comes out.
If that last article that was wrong about the LS2 has anything true about it , it may be the part about requests from Pontiac for more power , if the Yanks want it maybe we will only have to wait 12 months.
I will let you guys know if any "positive" reports
come out in the aussie mags about the LS2.

My guess, but if there is a new engine on the way, it usually goes into the series II model.

HSV launch of each model is also behind the Holden one. I can't remember HSV ever launching anything before Holden. It's probably in their contract.
