Incorrect. The filter type is dictated by the application, (ie body type) not engine variant.

Dont know an aftermarket cross reference. The OE ones are so cheap, never botheed to look into it.

So would that be VXR8 OEM 89017524 AC Delco PF48, K&N 1017 and Monaro OEM 92142006 AC Delco PF46?

I always thought that the first was for the LS2 and LS3, and the latter was for the LS1. From what I remember, the only difference is that the PF48 has an internal one way valve, and the PF46 uses a valve ring between the engine and filter.

I may be wrong though. confused

AC Delco is OEM, ans one has a valve, one doesn't. But it is body type specific. Ie oil filter on an LS2 monaro wont fit an LS2 R8.

What sump are you using ?

If it's a US threaded nipple 13/16"

Comline EOF0003
Landrover, Leyland, Lotus, Rover
PH4952
OC237/1
W713/28

Will fit.

If you have a metric M20 nipple on the sump, I think it's some small Citroen filter will do. ANy motor factors would have one.

Not exactly.. PF46 is for the C5 as well. But not later C6 LS2's or R8's..
So perhaps it is engine related, (ie) Switches when crank went from 24x to 58x?
eg. Body and engine related

Same as mine, the filter in the photo will fit, or equivalent ( I didnt actually use Comline, but it's the same fitment as that one )

Or if you get an M20 x M20 nipple you can swap it from the sump and use the Citroen filters which are also readily available. I did that with my last sump....except I lost the damn nipple and had to go back to the imperial stuff lol.

Can someone please verify what oil filter I require for an 06 plate CV8 and whether I can buy one at my local motor factors?

Thanks in advance :-)

Hello guys
Sorry to resurrect a long dead thread but I have a issue I have a jaguar with a ls1 which apparently came out of a 2004 monaro vxr. I’m trying to do a engine change on it but I can’t find the correct oil filter I though it was K&N ps-1007 however the thread is way to small, the filter on the car is a blueprint one but the label has been scratched off . Any ideas people?

Thanks

Thanks

On my 05 LS1 CV8, I use a Royal Purple oil filter, part number 10-44. They are a top quality filter, they have anti drain back, improved oil flow, and a very strong outer casing.
