I've been looking on eBay for mats for my new VXR. They all say exact fit but all look totally different??? Anyone know which mats will fit properly or if not on eBay where else I can pick some up from?
Cheers...

I'm happy with the fit of genuine Vauxhall Omega rubber mats in my Monaro. Local dealer let me try for fit before buying.

I have a set from my 6 ltr VXR Monaro which I sold a while ago.
They are in really good condition. Only the drivers side has any sign of wear.
Been meaning to sell them for a while.
Text me if you are interested 07768 605880.

I had some made for the vxr8 at cyberspares ltd and were very good, you can choose what quality and also add words stitched in the mat and also select what colour the stitching is around the edge.

They only had vxr8 mats but they now have them for the Vxr as I sent them a template of my GM Monaro mats so the will fit like a glove, they promised me a spare set of mats for the R8 if I sent them the template for the Vxr, but they never sent them frown so if anyone does order any, mention "where are micks mats" smile

I will take a photo of the R8 mats

Hi TB the ones in the pic are the R8 ones they made, you ordering for your Monaro ? Or future R8 smile

If they made the Monaro mats to my templates they will fit and have the holes.

Hope they fit, are the cv8 mats the same as a VXR then?

I ordered mine from Monkfish last year and they had them in stock at the time. They were around £100 but are the genuine mats that look like this

They came with 4 clips to anchor the mats to the floor too.

I was really lucky, got a set exactly as these from e bay for £60 last year. Just lucky timing, and keeping a sharp eye out. Was originally going to get a set of these from Oz, but proved to be very expensive by the time you had them shipped and duty paid. If you want a set like these would go down the Glynn route and contact Monkfish.

Yes they will be the same, and the template was taken from genuine mats like the ones pictured below

Thought I’d add to this rather than start another new discussion… this was a few years old. What’s a current good set of car mats to buy for a Monaro?

£20 delivered, 600g twist pile carpet with double layer on heel area, no mention of fitting clips, etc:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Monaro-2004-20...

or

Various qualities to choose from: between £27-55 delivered and from
http://www.qtmdirect2u.com/vauxhall-monaro-car-mat...
£27 for 650g Hard wearing Looped Polymide Carpet, heel pad on driver’s mat
£35 for 750g Hard wearing Twist Pile Velour Carpet, heel pad on driver’s mat
£55 for 900g Hard wearing Twist Pile Prestige Carpet (“No Heel Pad as the Thick Pile Doesn't Require it”)
^ Mentions they might have a universal fitting clip but nothing definitive.

or something else completely?

Only want to buy a set of mats once so willing to pay for quality, but equally I don’t have £100 to burn on a set either!
