Holden Monaro 'Thor' 1st races Boxing Day @ Mallory Park
Discussion
The rebuild is virtually complete & we should be out for a shakedown of 'Thor' @ Bruntingthorpe Airfield on Tuesday/Wednesday. That will be followed hopefully by a full days testing @ Donington Park on the Thursday to try and get a good base setup. Jules Westwood will be Test driving too to help us with his vast experiance over many years racing all over the world in FF, F3 (3rd), Touring Cars, Renault Spyder Cup (2nd to Jason Plato by one point), SRI Cup (Champion) Carrera Cup and many other catogories.
We hope to test somewhere else the week after in rediness for its first two races @ Mallory Park on the Plum Pudding Boxing Day meet 26th December.

Really pleased with the stats :'0) :
Weight: 1260 Kgs,
652BHP @ 6000 Revs,
600 FtLbs Torque @ 4300 Revs
= 515BHP per Tonne
If required another 50Bhp instantly available by an Injection System upgrade and no other required engine Mods.
Power is delivered to the track thru a Flat Shift Holinger 6 Speed Sequential Gearbox with a 1st/50mph 2nd/80mph 3rd/110mph 4th/140mph 5th/160mph 6th/180mph(Direct 1.1) into a Harropp Diff, then transfered thru the Ohlins 3 Way adjustable Dampers to the 11 x 18 ATS Mags with 305/680mm Slicks & 270/680 Wets.
We hope to also have the 'Blipper' system fitted in time for the start of the 2012 season in late March.
The Blipper is for clutchless downchanging with an automatic Revver, to eliminate the need to heal and toe to prevent the rear wheels locking as you slam down the box fast.
I will only use the clutch to pull off then be able to brake with my left foot.
Just cn't wait to get behin the wheel next week :'0)

Saw the car at the Fish on Thursday. Tyres are enormous (i.e the proper size). I'm just up the road from Donno, could I get in to watch the testing?
