I've been told I am THE first owner of a VXR in the UK!
There is a silver one for sale at another garage around Southampton area. No more are expected until
July!

My car is #11, apparently the first 10 'went to Vauxhall' - not sure what that means.

There will also be one or two of these at the Motor show.

I think the VXR changes made to the Monaro put it in another league. The engine may 'only' be 50BHP more but the styling makes it a completely new car.

"Cubittus" Just a quick question. The spec on the VXR says it has 4 pot callipers but the photo above shows the twin piston brakes (corvette) and it also said cross drilled not slotted.

"Jaggsy" the extra guages are oil pressure and voltage.

Congratulations!! I drove and Aussie version of this car a few weeks ago! This one was mildly modified so it didn't go to bad!
I am a sucker for the 4-doors though!!
The CV8 Monaro has 245kw
The HSV GTO has 285kw
The top of the range HSV GTS Coupe has 300kw, not sure they still make that though!! There is a 300kw sedan still or it is available on special build!

uk_hsv - Re the brakes. I had another look today. The fronts are 4pot, the rears 2pot. All 4 have red calipers which goes v nicely with the paintwork

mmmm nice. I am going to the motorshow on Friday and for the first time ever I will be heading for the Vauxhal stand with the Monaro and the VX220 Vauxhal have managed to completely change their image IMO.

I've got the car at last! (Of course it pissed down on the way back from the garage, but I still had chance to give it some welly past a few BMWs and Porsches :-) )
