Coolant loss.... No wet patch?
Discussion
I believe I have a coolant leak which is not easily identifiable. I put 2L of coolant into the car system yesterday. No visible wet patches with the car running or not, hot or cold.
I've left the car overnight incase it is a really slow leak and I haven't ruled out an under pressure leak either.
That said, has anyone else had a similar experience with coolant loss but no obvious reason for it?
There is a rubber tube at the back of the GT engine joining the two heads. This and the expansion tanks are known gremlins. I would expect wet patches.
No smoke or signs of a blown gasket, no overheating or not getting hot issues.

Depends whether it’s running down on to a hot block etc and simply evaporating away as you drive…
I'm glad you suggested this as I thought of that as a possibility also. So, I have made sure everything is up to the correct level. Recorded the date, time and mileage and will see if any coolant loss occurs.
I would get it up on a ramp or try and get a camera down behind the heads, or under the tank.
On my R8 the coolant tank must have been failing for some time. You couldn’t tell apart from some scale lines where the coolant evaporated.
However one evening it let go in a big way, luckily I saw the rear window was steamed up and pulled over immediately. If it happens and you don’t catch it, your engine will fry.
