Hi,

Looking to step away from ze Germans (ex c5 RS6 and current SL500) and into a Ghibli.
Like everything, my budget is creeping up and looking at entry level petrol instead of the diesels now.
Budget of 20k.

Is there anything i should really be looking out for?
I think Id rather not have Skyhook susp if that's even available.

I understand that they are quite reliable.
High miles is a little off putting, started early negotiations over a 2014 with 96k on with full MSH.
But I currently average about 6k a year so will bring that down to average over time.

Anybody planning on selling theirs soon?!

I've seen that one for sale, I've enquired about the dark maroon one for similar money (black leather and carbon goodies inside)
Always a bit wary about buying bottom of the barrel but that's all I can afford in this case!

Is that the one with 100k on the clock?

A few daft things on a Ghibli include headlamp washers that cost nearly 2 grand to repair (though some don’t have them as later demons were lower powered), rattling silencer valves and on older cars (they revised the design) cracked alloy strut top towers.

They do seem to have far fewer pitfalls than ze Germans and if self maintaining, are easy to work on, plenty of space around the engine.

As you’re looking at an S you won’t have the wobbly brakes issues the 4 pot fronts seem to sometimes have.
