Hopefully buying this GS next week - anyone know of the car?
Discussion
I've placed a deposit down on this machine, and am viewing it next week, with the intention to buy if all ok.

Is anyone on here aware of the car?
One other question, and sorry if it's been mentioned a 1000 times.
Gearbox. Seems a subjective matter.
Last motor was a 15 plate Vanquish. Whilst a gorgeous car, it just felt completely uninvolved to drive, and was a (slight) disappointment compared to my first AMV8 manual.
I also have a TVR Chimaera, which I love and is great fun, and of course totally involved!
So my question to anyone who has 5 mins is; will I find the F1 a pain and annoying or does it bridge the gap between an auto like the Vanquish, and the manual of the TVR?
I'm aware the last GS models, the software was tuned to the best of its ability at the time.

Ah so the one featured on the PH story! Lovely cars and you'll thoroughly enjoy it, I'm sure.
Richard Grace is great to deal with too and really knows his stuff around Maserati's. So whilst I appreciate this doesn't comprehensively cover your questions exactly, I'm insanely jealous as that's a lovely car to get into from a very well known dealer. You might also want to check out the SportMaserati forum - a huge amount of knowledge there worth tapping into and they'll be able to answer your questions for sure.

Couple of threads on this car here and loads on GranSports in general.
The gearbox is very much like the SportShift fitted to AM Vantage. Treat it as an automated MANUAL 'box and you will be fine. It all adds to the experience. GranSport is a great and under-estimated car. Ride is uncompromising on poor roads but otherwise you will love it.

Thanks for the feedback. The overall opinion of the car seems to be good / great, with the quirks expected from an Italian car.
Gearbox opinions vary from those that struggle with it, to those that drive the car 'as it should be driven' with no issues.
I guess anything that isn't bland and boring is going to have its foibles!
