Linky thingy to reveal here https://houseof.maserati.com/?utm_campaign=hq_crm_...
It looks okay in the leaked pics but not as good as I hoped. I think the 4C looks prettier (biased owner here). I think the unofficial early renders looked better with the F8 style bonnet etc. Definitely tried to make it look like a mini MC12 from the front. Rear looks a bit Honda NSX.

Monumentally annoying premiere this evening.
4C owner here who was (allegedly) the first UK customer for the new 8C. So, Ive basically been waiting for this car.
UK price has fluctuated between 120-200k. Nobody has much of a clue.
As also one of the original 42 (or whatever it was) prospective UK 8C owners back in the day, we are well versed in how Alfa/Mas randomly change prices of a car during its gestation.
Basically...plus ca change!

Absolutely stunning and an original design..Dallara developed which invariable means it'll be ballistic to drive..I love everything about it however the price they ask for it will determine its success..I can see it being around £180k based on the huge development which has gone into it and with it being all carbon fibre..
I had a long drive in an F8 last week and thought about ordering one but if this is a good chunk less money then i might switch..

Looks amazing. I hope that V6 sounds better than those F1 engines...
Puts McLaren in the shade though.
What's the waiting list like? Will it even be possible to buy one?
I showed interest not too long ago and I’m told I can get onePuts McLaren in the shade though.

To me it’s a special car and something a little different
It’s £50k too expensive
As soon as the 911TTS launched at 150-160k, this needed to be cheaper than it. Hmm, not needed but NEEDED!
I have it’s smaller brother - or dad if you will. It does 3/4 of what this car does but cost me damn near a quarter of the price.
The mooted Alfa 8C was £200-250k, but what was coming with 7-800HP, full hybrid, etc etc. It had the full Monty spec headline. This at 190k is hitting too high with too low a spec and no USP
As a prospective client who has been waiting 2 yrs for this car...I’m very disappointed

Looks quite ordinary which is a shame as beneath the skin it shows a lot of promise (carbon tub, trick drivetrain options etc etc). But Joe public doesn’t really care about stuff that can’t be seen imho. If it’s priced too close to the F8 it’ll bomb spectacularly. If it’s priced at 911 / R8 levels it has a great chance. Either way, it’ll probably depreciate at McLaren rates and make a great used car buy in 2-3 years time.

As much as i hate to admit it i agree with you on all counts..The F8 is an astonishingly capable car and extremely difficult to find criticism..At only£15k more than the MC20 but with 100PS more and less weight wrapped in an equally stunning body will make life hard for the MC20.I love the name Maserati however the brand has been eroded ove many decades and it needs something really special to make an impact and catch up with Ferrari..This MC20 is absolutely stunning and will drive brilliantly because Dallara developed it but it needs to be £50K less than the wondrous F8 Tributo..
Its one hope of success is that the £188k list price is for an MC20 which is fully loaded and not like an F8 which needs £40k options on top.

Looking forward to picking one up with once the McLaren-style depreciation has set in!
If the ambitious £187K list is in a very high standard spec with no need to delve into the options list then this car might hold its value very well. The new Porsche 992TTS has pretty much everything as standard in comparison to standard 992s..If this MC20 follows suit (it needs to at £187K) then it'll be a great car IMO..Taffy66 said:
