Number of Owners?
Discussion
So in the market for a Gran Turismo and wanted to get some insight into number of owners? Some im seeing have had e.g. 6 previous owners in 10years. Is this reasonable? One i like the look of has a good history just the number of owners is alittle off putting. What are peoples thoughts here?
Much appreciated.
Much appreciated.
As others have said, number of owners less important than history and condition in my view.
These vehicles tend to have a high turnover of owners as it's a trinket car on peoples wish list before they move on to the next one to tick off the list.
Doesn't necessarily make the car a lemon if it's got 6+ owners..
Mine's had several previous owners but I'm smitten after 4+ years and it's a keeper. Still gets admiring glances despite being 11 years old and a 13 + year old design.
Enough said!

haha thanks, it's just hard finding the right one, in my case I tend to look at resale values, and from my research i've concluded, 2 things that do not help the sale of this car is, the car being black, and trident wheels..... and god help if you've got a black car with trident wheels hahah, they look nice but for some reason are on sale for a very loooong time

if you felt it was underpowered ? and, i know most people wont care but what kind of MPG were you seeing ?
Depends what you are coming out of I suppose. I swapped out of a 360 Modena. It certainly isn't a sports car and if I were buying another I would buy a 4.7, I'm not sure what price they go for now?I got 18mpg.

thanks, im not coming out of anything too special but I was previously working for Aston Martin as a driver until a few months ago, so caught the 'GT bug' there, well early 4.7 are up for around 24 to 30k, but finding a full Auto that isnt black or silver seems to be hard at the lower end of that. Hopefully able to get a good discount from private sellers at the moment, lets see.... Thanks for your insight, appreciate itI got 18mpg.

No problem.I'd expect a 4.7 or a DB9 will be up for grabs on the other side of lockdown.
Im looking for the 4.7 myself, i do abit of town driving but from all the reviews im seeing is the MC Shift is for me. It a weekend car really for me. I wouldnt mind confirming what the pre-2012 cars differ with? Ive seen seats? Apparently LED rear lights? Anyone else have experience with the MC shift compared to Auto? I had an M6 V10 before and liked the engagement with the car with driving, i had a CLS 63 AMG and just hated the paddleshift and just more a point and go kinda drive which is why i am leaning towards MC shift myself
