Any long term Ghibli 3.0 petrol owners on here?
Discussion
My dad wrote this review 3 years ago and still has the car. It hasn't broken down.

Just seen this, so reply may be too late - sorry if so.
I’ve had my petrol Ghibli nearly a year and a half now, and done about 11k miles in it (bought it partly on recommendation from Master Bean as it happens). Absolutely love it.
It’s been completely reliable, with the only thing that needed looking at in the 12 month service being that the coarse fabric covers inside the wheel-arch had moved a little and needed reseating. Otherwise, it’s perfect - comfortable on a long drive, with a huge boot, properly quick in Sport mode, makes a lovely noise, and looks special inside and out.
I’d thoroughly recommend getting one (and thanks Master Bean & Dad for your advice!).

Apologies, I didn't notice the previous reply! It made for very interesting reading.
It seems that they are pretty well held together then. Loved the previous gen quattroporte but they seemed a little bit brittle for daily use.
They seem somewhat of a bargain at current prices too and are absolutely beautiful. I was worried that after years of Lexus ownership I would get fed up of repairs etc but in the same vein I would love an interesting car again. Depreciation isn't an issue as it will be bought through our Polish company so should offer a decent tax break.
I shall convince the wife and take the trip to Wroclaw to have a look. She seemed to be warming to the idea after I mentioned we can have our yearly trip to Italy in a Maserati instead of an old Hymer

Not a long term owner of one, but did drive over 4,000 miles in 10 days across the US in two of the them. The first was brand new with delivery mileage and made it from Washington DC to Phoenix before throwing in the towel. The second was older, but felt properly run in and was a hoot to drive through the canyons above Malibu.
Great cars. Epic sound.
