Bianco Fuji worth premium?
Discussion
Hi,
I've been looking at Granturismo MC Shifts and rather like them in the rare Bianco Fuji, even though it's a pita to colour match. It was a £6k option new but is this marmite colour worth a premium secondhand?
For example, a specialist has two 2012 cars with identical carbon and MC Handling spec. One is a BF car that is nearing end of clutch life and the other is black with half the mileage for only a grand more. Price guides suggest there should be £5k disparity based on mileage so is the BF colour worth most of that difference?
All thoughts welcome thanks.

I've seen and been out in both cars (and a few others on the market too including the other Bianco Fuji one now at Autofficina) - PM me if you want any further info. Harvey and Aldous both seemed really good guys to deal with.
FWIW, the Bianco Fuji car at AV is the best MC Shift I found in terms of condition and history and I came within a hairs breadth of buying it. Initially couldn't agree on a price, then a week later when we did agree on price, I was offered a mint condition 2014 MC Auto Shift facelift still under Maserati extended warranty at a reduced price and the ££'s differential was too close, so I spent the extra for the newer car and Maserati warranty cover.
I still hanker after Bianco Fuji though........stunning IMO and I am considering a wrap to replicate the look.

Back in late 2007 when I spec'd a Granturismo for my wife we went for Bianco Fuji. It was a significant premium - I thought £8k but may be wrong but really did lift the car. It added significant delay to the delivery - about five months I think. The cars were apparently taken off the production line to be sent somewhere off-site for paint. The combination of cash and delay meant it was a rare choice.
I was told that the paint process was similar to the Lamborghini tri-colour optional paints and much more chip resistant than the standard paints. I do know that the nose of ours was chip-free, unwrapped and in its original paint when we sold it in 2014.
The paint really did stand out and I thought went well with the red interior. I cannot recall another car where we have received unsolicited compliments on its colour from passers by. I reckon it was worth the extra. Most of the other colours were rather dull.
I have rather good memories of that car except when we were rear-ended by a van. H R Owen had no problem matching the paint so I would not let that worry you.
It also made my youngest kids sick in the back as the rear side windows were too high for them to see out but that is hardly the fault of the paint colour.
I have managed to dig out a picture of the car from 2014 when it was leaving us.
