New updated Granturismo sport
Discussion
I thought i would share my new Maserati Granturismo Sport MC which i collected this week.
I believe i am the first one in the UK to take delivery of the new up todate model and face lift.
The car is even more sexier than ever with the new design grill and front and new rear bumper.
The inside dash and central consul just make the car more fresher and better
Finished in Bianco Eldorado and Black Leather with white contrast stitching and fitted with full carbon fibre trim inside and out.
Great car and i love it, great sound .

I look forward to your review after you have covered a few miles. I am currently looking to jump ship from a 911 into the new Maserati GT. I have looked at other GTs including the DB11 but the Maserati is a car that I still need to own before the eventual move to a turbo engine.
Your new car looks fabulous and is a colour and wheel combo I would choose. Interestingly, unless I have missed it, the white you have chosen does n't seem to be on the current configurator.

Thanks, i am very happy. i have had many cars over the years, from Porsches, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Austin Martin, and Mclaren, and to be honest they all do the same on the road with road restrictions and may differ when on the track, but at the end of the day it is what looks different.Your new car looks fabulous and is a colour and wheel combo I would choose. The maserati is not in your face like some others, and this car you can drive as an ever day car.
I would say for the last 10 years i have always look to purchase a Granturismo Sport and never went for one, but now i have tried ever thing else, and now retired i think i am going to keep this one.
The car has not got the luxury and smoothness as the Bentley GT or the acceleration of the Lamborghini, but there is some thing about the car it has a bit of all the cars i have driven before, but makes me feel a little bit more grown up, until i press the sport button in the middle of the town and that noise !!!!!!!!
I think they have got the new car just right now, with the updates,
I noticed the colour white is not on the current configurator .

External design looks better, with less of a gaping mouth. And the leather and stitching look pretty cool. Centre screen looks awful, though, like an aftermarket Halfords special.
That's basically my take too. I had hoped the facelift would have done a bit more internally as, personally, I think the interior has aged most in the GTs. Pork said:

Congrats OP.
Things are very subjective. I'm not so much a fan of the front - the "snout" gave the first two iterations aggression which I think this loses. As a result it errs towards a blander look.
I also think the screen could have been better integrated. And having driven a new Ghibli I'm not sure it's the best system around, But I would prefer it to the one in my GT Sport
Regardless I am glad Maserati are still making these. The world needs more cars like this
Enjoy it.

Shmee recently did a good walkaround and drive of the new 2018 GranCabrio Sport.

What a great looking toy. And that sound....ouff.https://youtu.be/s6-BRuEGIg0
That inspired me to build one on the configurator in coupe form in the same colour. Came to 107k - that nice colour is 7k. Carbon wheel and some other bits
When I last had one there were decent discounts to be had. Not sure now with the facelift. Still I can't see it being worth more than 65k in a years time trade. 17 plate on autorader with delivery miles offered at 72k. That's a big hit on a 100k car

...much prefer the MC shift rather than the mandatory slush box ...
The Sport's (2012/13 onwards) auto is actually pretty good. The MC still has the edge when pushing it, but tbh the car is too big and heavy for that to really be a proposition the vast majority of the time.
The auto allows you to bounce off the limiter if you want, changes quickly when pressing on, blips on the downshift etc etc...but when you just want to make progress calmly it works in auto-mode properly too. Also no clutch to worry about. The biggest problem with it, I think, are the gear ratios aren't great (the MC has different ratios).
I suspect the MC will have stronger residuals over time, but the auto shouldn't be dismissed out of hand IMO.
