Ghibli as a daily driver, is it feasible?
Discussion
I currently have a 5 series and do about 25k miles a year. I would like a GT but couldn't stomach the fuel costs, so would a diesel ghibli cope with this level of mileage.
I know a diesel maser is sacrilege and most reviews say it isn't as good as a 5 series or E class, but I just have like the look of it and the marque is appealing.
Surely to market the car against the 5/E it has to be equivalent but for some reason I just can't see the ghibli coping with the miles well (servicing still looks high in comparison also) - would I be mad to get one? Or do I just buy a GT for the weekend and keep my 5?

GT for the weekend and keep the 5. No brainer. Ghibili diesel will get boring very quickly and they don't even look that good. Best to have something to look forward to at the end of the week.
Agreed.Had a Ghibli loaner for a couple of days last year. The very definition of 'meh'.
