Thinking of a 3200 GT
Discussion
Hi all,
I'd never really considered a 3200 GT, as I've heard some not so pleasant stories about reliability, though I understand that can be a coincidence or related to specific cars and their owners/history... But basically because it never was in my budget. But now what looks to be a very decent example has turned up at a Maserati dealer near me. Its from december 2000, has 166.000km, is an automatic and they want 17.000€ (about 15.000£). Looking at other prices, this seems to be remarkable value, no? I'd almost never consider buying this private, but from an official Maserati dealer... What do you guys think?

They are great cars, which to my mind are hugely under valued, how long will this remain the case?
As has already been said sports maserati should be able to offer some advice. There are a couple of other forums and some of the independant specialist can often offer advice.
Although obviously due to the nature of what they are, things can be expensive and this needs to be understood. Had mine for nearly 5 years and have loved it.

I've also had mine for 5 years, took it back to the factory for the Centenary , 3000 miles, no issues. Don't buy at the bottom of the scale as they can easily build up big bills if neglected. Keep on top of them, importantly drive them, they hate being left so low mileage, in this case, is not necessarily a good thing. Get it inspected by a reputable indy it will be £300 well spent. Go for it and enjoy. When those two turbos kick in at just over 2500rpm hang on and try not to smile!
