Does anyone know a good scource for an alloy V8? I want one as a piece of furniture so it can be bu66ered, and it does'nt matter about ancilleries, but it needs to be cheap. M.

There's a Lamborghini Miura block for sale in the classifieds.

Don't know if the bores are large enough to hold a wine bottle though?

Pop- down your local scrappy and see if they've got any old V8s - most will have a buggered range rover there...

Get in touch with this guy:-

www.lundengines.com

Ask for Steve, i'm sure he said he had some old blocks he wanted rid of a while back. As an indication of price, I bought a 3.5 V8 short engine a while back that just needed a hone and I paid £25 for it, so a scrap block is virtually worthless

Andy

P.S. Why not make a matching footrest out of my Tuscan cylinder head!!!

I bought a complete all alloy BMW V12 for £10.51 on e-bay..... turned out to be a good-un though, but something to think of if I ever torch one.
