fiat twin cam

Hi Iam fitting a 2l twin cam into a seven.As this is rather a tall motor I am considering cutting the sump and oil pick up. I intend widening the sump but am a bit unsure how to configure any baffles.Any suggestions gratefully received.Also does anyone know which model of Fiat/Lancia used a horizontal oil filter as my vertical one fouls the chassis.I could go remote but I am trying to keep costs down. HAvee a search on google I think there is a book by some guy thats meant to be a genius with these engines.

Sure you dont want to buy my rather rusty lancia beta hpe? its got the volumex (supercharged) 2 litre twin cam. horizontal oil filter, oil cooler, all the good kit.

Chris, why don't you try and find an X19 owner, as they are supposed to be the Holy Grail of engine conversions for these cars.

The Volumex (in black of course) was the Lancia I always dreamed of when I was 17. Proper car. Shame about the metal-mite tho.

Good engines thoughs Fiat Twin cams, fitted a 2.0L into a Minor Van many years ago, great fun if not a little dangerous.

I also have another one of the volumes, but thats staying garaged until i decide between it and a marcos

as far as I know the engine you are looking for is the one out of the fiat 124 sport. I believe the oil filter was horizontal on the side.

or as i said, the volumex Much better option all round, far far easier to tune than the standard ones. see gcs book.
