Under Pressure?

Have recently had my V8S car serviced at Ric Wood in Stockport (01614834810) discussed with him the familiar low oil pressure seen with these engines when hot and idling (see oil pressure relief valve thread etc). He recommended trying 76 NASCAR oil he stocks, so I went along with it...the result is about an extra 10psi across the board.

Rimmer Brothers do an uprated oil pressure relief valve spring for about 3 quid. Gives a similar 10 psi increase. Part number RB7457 if you're interested. 01522 568000.

Another tip is to try increasing the hose size on the remote filter housing, I went from 1/2" bore to 5/8" and got about 1/2 a bar pressure increase!.
