Mini-shafts

Hello, I find myself in a dilemna, can anyone answer this question:

Are the drive shafts on a Mk 1 Mini the same as those on an Austin 1100?

Don't have any personal experience but I wouldn't have thought so as the 1100 is a wider car and, like the Mini, the wheels are pretty much out to the furthest edge of the car so one would assume that the drive shafts are longer on the wider car.
