I have a TVR Cerbera 4.5 which i use daily approx 18 mile each way to and from work .... what oil would you advise for the winter months? Currently using Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w50 but i think this might be too thick for the cold mornings/evenings at start up. Tvr origionaly used Mobil 1 0w40 but stopped due to it being too thin when very hot and causing excessive oil consumption, i was thinking of using the Valvoline synthetic 5w50. can anyone advise anything else or comment on my potential choice

TVR stopped using 0W40 because Mobil withdrew it from the UK market.
I would not worry.

The Cerbera has a very big battery and a big torque starter and could probably due a 0-60 in 10 seconds on that alone. Never changed to a lighter oil in the winter with any of the 9 TVRs I have had.

Sorry. Given myself 1 hours detention and 500 lines...

Got the grades mixed up. TVR used to use 5W50 that got withdrawn and replaced with 0W40 which was their recommendation until 15W50 Motorsport grade came out.
