I have completed a mighty fine kit car with 1640cc xflow engine from an escort MK11 but the engine number is missing.
This is required for the SVA test and the only thing holding me back. The block casting is T15 and main casting type number is 711M0015BA.

Please will anyone give me a clue or a copy number that I could use.

How about nipping down your local scrapper and copying a number from a scrapped car ?

Nah, that looks more like a casting number (same number on lots of engines) .... the 711 bit gives it away, as the good X flow blocks are known as 711 blocks ...

Would the SVA tester know if you stamped any old random number on the block ?

I need the number because I have to show the date of manufacture in the form of a letter from Ford.
Else I will need to fit a cat and never get the car on the road. Hence a number that matches the engine type.

but thanks for the comments.

if you have an engine no just change one of the figures not the letter and pass it on.

Thanks for the number excellent news BUT (there is always a but) the letter I got form Ford said the number should consist of 2 letters and 5 figures, in order to give me an letter confirming the date of manufacture.

this is proving a hard one to crack but thanks all and we will find one I'm sure.
