Hi,
Ive purchased a 4 wire heater Lambda[Oxygen] sensor to enable me to calibrate my edelbrock carb on my 350sbc accurately.
Ive got a 8 into 2 into 1 exhaust system, and i cant decide where to place the sensor.
Either on the single 3" part -or- on one (or both sides) immediatley after the collectors.

Here's a picture of my pipe:

Any thoughts welcome..

Wouldn't have thought it matters how far down the pipe, since the gas composition isn't changing? So I'd put it where ever is most convenient.

I'd put one each side before the joint as even the slightest leak will screw up the readings. Plus it'll show up any problems with that bank.

Put it into the collector (where all the pipes join up). Ideally you need one per side or one sensor and two bosses with one side blanked. As Cap'n Muppet says any leaks will knacker your results as it'll pull air in at speed and give you artificially lean readings.

Yeah put it where all the pipes meet.
